Nowadays, children are used to getting lots of gifts on innumerable occasions like birthday parties, gatherings, social activities, on achieving good results and many more instances. But generally the gifts are in the form of junk foods like chocolates or cakes, toys and hobby books and materials or even expensive clothes and outings. But in all this, health of the child is never the main concern. So this time around, when your children are on holidays and the schools are closed, you can plan out a neat time table for them which will discipline their eating habits and make them health conscious as well.

Some of the tips here will certainly help you out for making a chartbuster schedule for your children:

  • First of all, try to analyze the daily activities of your child when he is in school and the time he gets around for playing. Although he is on holidays, the same habits should be followed even during the school days so that year round he remains in good shape.
  • Find out which physical activities he likes. At young age important thing is to get lot of physical activities. But children tend to be moody and if you will plan something way out of the box he may not willingly go to it or put his heart into it. Instead settle for sports or exercise like swimming which he enjoys and which he will accept readily.
  • Promise your child a treat of Sundae special ice cream or anything that he loves against some highly nutritious foods which he averts from eating. Some vegetables like bitter gourd and spinach carry lot of vitamins but very few children willingly eat it. During the school days, every mother wants her child to eat his meal completely in the school and all the demands of the child are some how accepted. During vacations introduce your child to new tastes and flavors of nourishment. Since during these days he has ample time at hand, you can pursue him to eat these new things with patience.
  • Introduce him to different arts and crafts. Just as physical health is important, similarly, being creative gives you lot of satisfaction and a sense of mental stability. Help him to find his liking such as music, painting, sculpting, bird watching, wood work and any other type of art. This will keep him engaged, divert his attention towards more constructive work and help him direct his energy in more positive things.
  • For couple of days opt for some adventurous holidays, which involve, trekking or surfing and also offers wild life visits and other sight seeing.
  • Make him follow the time table you have designed regularly. Make him understand that just because he is on holiday, it does not mean that there should be no discipline in life. Rather this is the right time to catch up on things which should have been adapted earlier.

If your child successfully follows all the dietary rules and exercise and other programs designed for him, even when he goes back to school, he will follow it and these health benefitting habits will be with him for ever as good habits.
